The inclusion of floorplans will significantly improve the chance of selling your home!

Research undertaken and produced by Rightmove, the UK’s leading property website, showed that by adding a floorplan on property details increased the number of people that would click through to further details of that property by a staggering 52%.

A sample of 29,000 Rightmove visitors were questioned and 80% of the respondents confirmed they wanted to see floor plans on properties displayed on Rightmove. 

It is clear therefore, that if a property is being marketed by an estate agent who does not use floor plans as an additional selling tool, there is a definite risk that some potential buyers may be left unaware of the full extent of what the property has to offer.

Although the market has thankfully picked up considerably it is still a case that properties for sale are outnumbering buyers and therefore a seller of property needs every advantage they can gain over other similar competitive properties for sale.

“It is very interesting when handing property details to customers in the office.  A vast majority instead of looking at the photos or the write up of the property go straight to the floor plans to see the property lay out.

This has a double benefit to the seller of the property.  First of all if the lay out is not suitable for the buyer then they can eliminate this property from their search with immediate effect, thus saving the vendor hours of time in showing people around who would never have bought the property.

Secondly, it really enhances the selling features of the property regarding room sizes and internal lay out.  It highlights rooms that are particularly big or where the lay out is a particularly popular one and can therefore encourage potential buyers to view the property who would not otherwise have done so”.

“I am amazed”, continued Jonathan “of the number of estate agents who still do not use floor plans when I know from personal experience just how effective they can be”
