Choosing the right estate agent has never been so important!

With the housing and monetary market still looking unstable it has never been such an important time to choose the right Estate Agent.

Estate agents have traditionally come in for a lot of flack, but how much is deserved? After all, they are invaluable - showing your house to potential buyers while you're at work, taking professional photos, marketing your property to it’s full potential and making introductions between solicitors whilst ensuring regular updates to all parties right through to the date you move in!

You can find fairly quickly whether your estate agent is a good one by testing their knowledge of the local market when they come round to value your property. Bear in mind, however, that there is potential here for an unscrupulous agent to butter you up just to get your trade, so listen sympathetically to the valuer who is more honest, even if he tells you things that are much harder to hear - it will pay off in the long run.
