Jonathan Waters

Jonathan was born and has lived in the East Ipswich area all his life, you can’t get much more local than that. He was educated at Britannia Primary school, Northgate Grammar School and the Suffolk College and over the years he has witnessed massive change and development in the East Ipswich area. Well qualified for entry into the estate agency profession, having previously worked in the planning department at Suffolk Coastal District Council dealing with the original planning applications for the very same housing developments that are now so much a part of the East Ipswich area. Having worked for several years for a large corporate estate agency in Ipswich he became disillusioned with their true objectives and started his own business in 1991/92 to offer a level of customer and client service that cannot possibly be matched by a much larger company.
His lifelong campaign to see the public having a much higher opinion of the estate agency profession has seen Jonathan actively involved in new legislation, training and the qualification of his staff. He has been Chairman of the Guild of Independent Estate Agents and Chairman of the North East Essex Consumers and House Moving Panel.
Although he manages the occasional game of golf as a member at Rushmere, these days Jonathan devotes much of his limited spare time to his young family. |

Jayne Staff

Having always worked in sales
and in the estate agency profession, most of this time has been spent with larger, corporate estate agents including branch support and management locally. Like many that have come to join the team here, Jayne became disillusioned within a corporate estate agency preferring the much higher level of professional and personal service that an independent is able to offer.
Jayne has two daughters Gemma and Zara. She spends most of her spare time renovating her cottage. |

Alan Mann

Alan has been with Jonathan Waters for a number of years having first made his mark within the company as a top sales negotiator. Alan then went through Jonathan’s personal, extensive valuation training programme and has excelled in this field ever since.
Alan is married and has three children and when not spending his free time with his family Alan enjoys going to his local gym three times a week. |

Carolyn Barwick

Carolyn started working at Jonathan Waters Estate Agents as a Sales Negotiator and after extensive in-house training is now a fully fledged Valuer.
Hobbies include digital photography, wine, shoes and handbags. With previous careers within retail she likes to follow current fashion trends and loves to shop.
She enjoys spending her spare time with her family and two black cats! |

Chris Webb

Chris has worked his entire career in estate agency and brings some 30 years of experience in the local property market to Jonathan Waters.
Having worked for a corporate agency for most of his career, Chris is embracing working for an independent estate agent offering a more personal service within a successful team.
Chris is married, has three children and enjoys golf, squash and going to the gym. He is also a follower of the Ipswich Witches. |

Jenna Arnold

Jenna brings over 12 years estate agency experience to the team, and has been with Jonathan since the opening of our Buttermarket office in 2003. Previously Jenna has also worked within corporate estate agency in Ipswich.
Her local knowledge of the area, particularly south west Ipswich, where she was brought up, is the best in the business.
In her free time Jenna enjoys music, socialising and her new puppy. |

Malcom Goodall

Malcolm has lived in Suffolk all his life, both born & educated in Ipswich.
From being a paperboy in Ipswich in the 60’s to estate agency in the 2000’s Malcolm knows the area well & has seen many changes to the local housing market during this time. His estate agency experience started in new house sales in various sites in Suffolk & Essex for a large corporate agency.
Interests include classic cars, DIY, gardening, sport,
theatre and an occasional game of golf.

Michelle is living proof that you just can't better Jonathan Waters Estate Agents! Having originally joined us at our Clacton office six years ago, Michelle left us after relocating. After making the move to Ipswich we were delighted she returned to us as a Senior Negotiator, using the highly tuned skills she'd learnt with us previously. When not working with us Michelle spends her free time renovating her property with her fiancee, Rob. |

Tara Grace

Tara’s extensive background in sales has placed her in an ideal position within our sales team. Her customer service is second to none and her
previous experience owning a nail and beauty salon has given her the enviable skill of putting
people immediately at their ease.
In her free time Tara enjoys cycling and spending as much time as possible with her two young children - that is when she’s not in huge demand as a fully trained
beautician!

Tracy has joined us bringing a wealth of experience having had the last ten years working within the estate agency industry.
Prior to that Tracy has excelled in her previous customer service role for a large national corporation and is putting this experience together with her years in estate agency to bring a top class service to all our clients.
A bubbly and likeable member of the team, Tracy has relocated recently to Ipswich with her partner and is enjoying the many benefits Ipswich as to offer. |

Scott has worked within the Suffolk estate agency industry for nearly six years and has forged a successful career almost straight from leaving school.
Scott cut his teeth within a large
corporate estate agency and is now thoroughly enjoying the independent agents approach of customer care being paramount in the house moving process.
Personally Scott has just got married and enjoys
watching football, playing golf and having the
occasional flutter on the horses. |

Julie Clennell

What Julie doesn’t know about the Ipswich housing market probably isn’t worth knowing having worked through the highs and lows of the housing market over the last 30 years.
Julie now operates our highly successful Buttermarket office and her friendly, professional nature together with her wealth of knowledge means she is a key member of our sales team.
Living locally with her husband, Julie enjoys spending time with her family. |

Lindsey has worked in estate agency for several years now and has a wealth of experience under her belt. Her
bubbly and enthusiastic personality puts vendors and purchasers alike at ease with her hands on approach within the sales team.
When not enjoying working with us, Lindsey is in the process of renovating and moving into her new home. |

Debbie Austin

Debbie moved to the area 20 years ago and worked within the local newspaper industry and then moved onto the Marriott group of hotels and recently the Co-op Bank.
This has been a huge asset to Debbie, giving her a wealth of knowledge of the local businesses and area.
When not working Debbie spends her free time with her family and loves to go for a run before her working day. She also finds time for her many freinds enjoying meals out and following the local music scene. |

Valerie has lived in Ipswich for 18 years and has worked within estate agency for 7 years in both sales progressing and sales negotiating.
Together with her previous customer service experience and her thorough knowledge on all types of property Valerie embraces being able to assist further our vendors in getting that all important sale and ensuring it then goes through to completion.

Anne has worked in estate agency for almost 20 years having met Jonathan Waters when they worked together in the boom of the 1980’s.
Anne is a full time Mum to her 17 year old son Ben and enjoys singing with her rock star husband....! During working hours, though, her singing is confined to the kitchen and bathroom. Her outgoing personality and sense of humour help in the often highly stressful arena of house moving. |

Karen Ward

Karen is a local girl, having attended Sidegate Lane Primary, Copleston High and Suffolk College.
Starting her career working in Felixtowe for Fisons Fertilizers. Karen then went on to work for a local firm of solicitors, for 21 years, in the conveyancing department; she therefore has a wealth of experience in the process of buying and selling houses.
Karen has co-presented a children’s radio show and also worked a Christmas at Butlins in Bognor, spent time as a medic in the territorial army and ran a half marathon over the Orwell Bridge for Cancer Relief.
Mother of two to Anneka and Oliver, when she is not down the gym or socialising Karen, like most mothers, spends time being a taxi driver to her kids! |

Diane joined us from a long career in the design department of the East Anglian Daily Times.
Diane has brought with her a wealth of experience and works closely with Jonathan, enabling him to free up his valuable time.
Diane spends her free time with her young daughter and enjoys eating out and socialising locally. |

Jo came to us nearly ten years ago bringing with her a wealth of administration experience which has been fully utilised over the years together with her no nonsense, organised approach to getting the job done.
Jo lives locally with her husband and two young sons so is often found ferrying her family between various local football matches and training sessions! |

Jane Russell

Jane has worked within estate agency for over eleven years and before that
had a ten year career in the advertising and marketing industry. Jane puts her combined experience to good use turning round all our
literature, both day to day and promotional as well as helping to ensure
that when someone thinks of estate agents they think of Jonathan Waters.
In her free time Jane lives locally with her husband and two young daughters
and enjoys aerobics, walking holidays,
travel and cookery - she's a dab hand at novelty cakes! |
